How to (Legally) Buy Weed Online (using Firebird Delivery)

August 2, 2022

Cannabis delivery is now legal in Canada. Pretty dope, right? (We think so.) Once you get over the excitement of being able to have weed delivered right to your door, you may have some questions. Specifically, how do you partake in this dopest of new services available to you? Can you buy the same amount of cannabis product as in a dispensary? How many times a day can you have weed delivered? And what are the steps for getting weed delivered from Firebird Delivery

We’ve got you covered. Check out below for how to legally buy weed online using Firebird Delivery.

Who Can Buy Cannabis Online from Firebird Delivery?

Anyone who has signed up for membership with Firebird Delivery and is the legal age to buy cannabis in your area can go ahead and place an order. In Alberta, that means you need to be 18 years old. If you live in British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, The Northwest Territories, Manitoba, Ontario, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, or Yukon, you need to be 19 years old. If you live in Quebec, you’ll need to be 21 years old.

Our delivery drivers will be checking IDs so have those handy when you answer the door!

How Much Can I Buy in a Day from Firebird Delivery?

You can buy the equivalent of 30 grams of dried cannabis product total per order. That’s any combination of edibles, concentrates, cannabis flower, infused beverages, topicals, or seeds. But don’t worry, there’s no need to whip out a calculator and do the math yourself. We’ll let you know at check-out if you’ve chosen too many items. If you’d like more than the purchase limit of 30 grams, we have some great news for you. You’re welcome to place another online delivery order that same day. Unlike purchasing from a brick-and-mortar dispensary, there’s no limit to how much cannabis you can have delivered to you in a day.

Since you’re ordering online and not purchasing at a dispensary, you don’t have to abide by the public possession limits.

Also, you can buy as many smoking accessories as you’d like with any order, in case you need papers, a new vape battery, or even a new dab rig. It doesn’t count towards your 30 gram purchase limit.  Make sure to become a Spark Perks member and you’ll get 20% off accessories, all the time.

Enter your credit or debit card information and choose which type of delivery option you prefer. We offer free same-day delivery as long as you place your order by 6pm. If you’re in a bit of a rush, check out our express delivery option. You’ll pay an extra $7.99 service charge, but you’ll have your order within the hour.

With free delivery, we’ll give you a window of time when we’ll be coming by — within a few hours as long as you placed your order before 6pm. If you order after 6pm, you’ll receive your delivery early the next day.

Step 5

Enter the address you’d like your cannabis order delivered to. As long as it’s not a place of business or a PO Box, you can have cannabis delivered to any residential address you wish. That could be your home, your friend’s house, or a party. As long as the person who placed the order is there to show their ID to the delivery person when they arrive, it’s all good.

If you have special instructions for the delivery person, like what apartment number to ring, or if your door is around a corner, let us know in the “Delivery Instructions” window so we can find you.

Step 6

That’s it! Just show your delivery person a valid form of ID when they arrive. This includes any government-issued ID, including a driver’s license, Provincial or Territorial ID, Canadian Forces ID, Passport, Permanent Resident card…pretty much anything except for your work or university ID.

Now that you know the ins and outs of buying weed online, we can’t wait for you to give it a try. We hope to see you soon, or multiple times in a day if it’s that kind of party.
